"SBV-LawGraph: A Hybrid RAG Approach Integrating Knowledge Graph for the State Bank of Vietnam Legal Documents," by Khoa Phan, Dr. Xuan-Bach Le and Assoc. Prof. Tho Quan, was selected for oral presentation at ACIIDS 2026 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, April 2026. RAG pipelines often perform well in general settings but falter on legal text, where interpreting structure and the relationships between documents is essential. SBV-LawGraph is a dual-retrieval framework designed specifically for Vietnamese legal documents. It pairs semantic retrieval with graph-based reasoning through two modules: a Legal Retrieval module using sparse–dense reranking for textual accuracy, and a Relationship Retrieval module that traverses a curated legal knowledge graph to capture links such as amendments, citations and definitions. The result is answers that are not only relevant in content but grounded in structure. Evaluated on the ALQAC2025 and SBV Legal Questions datasets, the system consistently outperforms strong baselines.
